It's the big one

Today I am just a little bit excited and a little giddy for it is my baby girls 21st Birthday and I am going over to spend the afternoon with her when she has finished her Uni lectures for the day (fancy having to go to lectures on your 21st birthday).

Her birthday celebrations started on Friday when a couple of her friends from our old neighbourhood drove over to spend the weekend with her and her old school/Uni pals, I am led to believe that there were a few sore heads yesterday morning.

She has just a few presents to open
21 to be exact

and a cake adorned with the required embarrassing photo's of her childhood.

On the day she came into this world it was snowing, her two big brothers spent the afternoon having snow ball fights in their grandmother's back garden.
I am pleased to see that today is beautiful blue skies.

Right just one more thing to do and that is to collect her flowers from the florist, what girl doesn't like flowers on such a special day.

Have a great day one & all and I will share some more photo's from this special day later in the week when I shall also reveal what I have planned for her for this coming weekend.

Seems that your children's birthdays are pretty close, the same as ours. Have a lovely week and look forward to hearing about next weekend. Take care.

    1. Yes our birthdays are a little like buses you wait for ages and then they all come at once. We don't have any in March the next one's are in April.

    1. She had told her friends she would get 21 presents and she said they didn't believe her, that is until I turned up haha. She had a great day and I'm exhausted can't keep up with a house full of students any more.

  10. I too, have a Uni one who will be 21 in June. She's going on holiday with the beau. She said she doesn't want a huge fuss as she had all that for her 18th. Of course I will make a cake and we will go out for a family meal. All grown up. *sniffs* happy Birthday to your beautiful girl xx

    1. Thanks Rachel. Her celebrations started on Friday and have continued from there. She had a great day yesterday and there is still more plans a foot. None of mine have wanted big parties they have all wanted a family meal and a good night out with friends which was fine by me they may as well celebrate the way they want to and she has certainly done that.

    1. She had told her friends she would get 21 presents, I don't think they believed her till I arrived. Some of them were little presents and some were big but she loved them all. I don't think I will be carrying on this tradition of future milestone birthdays could you imagine having to try and select 30, 40 or 50 individual presents.... No I think 21 is the ceiling on that idea.

    1. I've done it for their 18th and 21st just little things like a novelty keyring and up to a main present in her case a Radley handbag. But I have capped it to their 21st's I am not going to be buying 30 presents in 3 years time for my eldest son and number 2 is so picky it would be too stressful trying to find that many.
